  1. La masa se mezcla con la manteca se le añade la sal. En una cacerola poner la carne de puerco de preferencia (carne molida), y el achiote, se disuelve en agua y se le agregan los condimentos molidos; con esto se adoba la carne y se deja en reposo media hora.
  2. Poner una sartén con poco aceite y se fríe la carne agregándole el consomé, ya que está cocida se le pone la masa disuelta en agua, hasta que quede espeso y haya hervido; con esto se van a rellenar los tamales.
  3. **Preparación de tamales**: Las hojas de plátano se asan, se cortan en cuadros se pone un pedazo de masa y se trocea o se hace una tortilla poniendo en medio el relleno, se doblan las orillas hacia el centro y se dobla el tamal, se van acomodando en la vaporera y se ponen a cocer por 1 hora aproximadamente.
  4. **Salsa**: los tomates hervidos juntos con los chiles se muelen en la licuadora juntos con el diente de ajo. En una sartén se fríe la cebolla picada añadiendo el tomate molido y la sal necesaria, se le pone una rama de epazote y se deja hervir hasta que se sazone todo bien.
  5. Esta salsa se les agrega a los tamales hasta arriba
